As a Back End Central Planning Capacity Planning Manager at Micron Technology, Inc., you will partner with Site team and Supply Chain to optimize site response to Network requirements and drive improvement in business processes to support business objectives. You will be interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to identify resources required to support the plan and follow up on actions to close identified gaps.You will be responsible for leading and managing the activities and operation of a Capacity Planning / Industrial Engineering section, working together with other functional groups locally and/or globally to accomplish organizational and business objectives by ensuring overall network capacity expectations are met.Your team will monitor build plans, analyze capacity requirements, audit SPO solves to ensure that manufacturing sites have the needed capacity to perform as planned. Your team is required to communicate capacity plans duly to sites, driving accountability to the right area and monitor key performance indicators.
Responsibilities and Tasks:-
  • Report to Senior Management on Overall Back End sites regarding Capital Purchases and Capacity Changes,
  • Develop, maintain and validate capacity , capacity models to enable accurate assessment of loading needs
  • Manage capacity and capital planning to support scenario planning, strategic planning and business plans
  • Review and validate assumptions and justifications for budget cycle
  • Provide inputs and support network optimization and long term strategy discussions
  • Ensure the appropriate scenarios are generated, analyzed, and reviewed leading to executive-level decisions

Collaborate with the BE Strategic Planning and S and OP teams
  • Develops and communicates sites performance targets and communicates line of sight goals to individual contributors
  • Train up teams and manage team member performance and development
  • Evaluate BE sites capacity gaps and risks
  • Participate in site reviews to understand site challenges
  • Understand and execute site loading/optimization within the strategic horizon
  • Communicates data findings and recommends solutions to diverse audiences
  • Coordinates scenario processes in relation to internal and external groups while continuing to improve process
  • Monitor and Review KPI data

Collaborate with Global Stakeholders
  • Monitor the deployment of Backend Strategic Planning (BESP) strategies across the backend network
  • Provide strategic planning support
  • Liaise with stakeholders to communicate and understand the gaps and needs

Participate in projects
  • Participate in meetings as a subject matter expert
  • Assist with analysis of current and future processes/systems
  • Complete tasks by assigned due date
  • Communicate status of tasks
  • Report issues, risks, changes, and quality concerns to the project manager and team
  • Assist with documentation and training needs for new processes
  • Energize the work force with continuous updates, monthly all hands meetings, and sharing status of actions, projects and task on hand via systematized dash boards
  • Create people profiling to enable correct development plans for high potential and skilled work force (external and professional training and certification)
  • Delivers results by encouraging teamwork and setting priorities
  • Manages projects to ensure deliverables are completed within the required timeframe

Manage Human Resources
  • Support and contribute to developing, modifying, and executing company policies
  • Manage organizational structure, staffing, and culture
  • Monitor the performance of employees and provide ongoing performance feedback, mentoring, and growth opportunities
  • Create performance plans and conduct performance evaluations
  • Enforce HR workplace policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Set and support workplace priorities
  • Drive accountability through clear communication, informal feedback, effective project management, and appropriate usage of metrics.

Requirement
  • Minimum Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or a related field of study
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering, Modeling/Forecasting, Planning/Forecasting and Semiconductor Manufacturing
