This is a strategic and tactical responsibility for Branch Operations covering:
1. Branch Operations Support (FE Notices, Operational Risk, AML compliance & security).
2. To achieve operational efficiency, productivity, service excellence and operational risk compliance.
  • Has comprehensive understanding on the Foreign Exchange Notices to ensure fully compliance to the guidelines and adopt reasonable market standard in due diligence process.
  • Has overall responsibility for Foreign Exchange Administration rules guideline, FATCA & CRS and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • To establish internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance with the Foreign Exchanges Rules including establishing relevant system, process and procedure.
  • Provide strategic branch operations support in formulating relevant branch operational policies with periodical review of existing policies in line with regulatory and industry practice.
  • Provide advice and support to RMOs on branch operational matters.
  • Manage projects relating to regulatory compliance updates and findings relating to process and system enhancements.
  • Ensure effective implementation of branch operations SOPs in meeting customers expectation as well as enhancing staff productivity and service quality.
  • Regular and timely review of process improvements of branch operations to further enhance the work processes at branches with risks assessment and controls in place.
  • Ensure that all aspects of regulatory guidelines including operational controls are being addressed to deter as well as mitigate both fraud and negligence in the formulation of branch operational procedures having the customers interest in mind.
  • Review onboarding documents relating to the regulatory guideline such as FEA, FATCA & CRS.
  • Develop processes for branch operations to comply with relevant AML, FEA, FATCA, CRS and other relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor changes to business practices and products to ensure that AML/Mule Account deterrence procedures are adequate.

Job Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years branch operations experience covering all aspects of branch operations with comprehensive understanding on the Foreign Exchange Notice.
  • Conversant in both spoken and written of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Possess good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Independent and result oriented with good interpersonal skill and ability to work with all levels.
