The Role Responsibilities %26amp; Our Ideal Candidate

  • To exercise due diligence in assessing all new BIL/GIL submitted by (S) BDE, ensuring that all applications meet the required quality and criteria, prior to recommendation for approval.

  • To monitor the status of all applications (i.e. approved/declined/comments) and to communicate the same to BIE.

  • To maintain a close working relationship with BIE in coaching, guiding, motivating and retaining them, as well as to assist (S)BDE with any difficulties encountered.

  • To generate new business via direct selling to customers.

  • To assist in conducting briefing/training to (S)BDE, formulating and implementing sales campaign and incentive schemes, driving and monitoring (S)BDE sales performance and working closely with consultants, employment agents and other third parties in identifying referral sources of BIE.

  • To actively drive, track and monitor (S)BDE on their productivity and business insurance referral.

  • To ensure all sales brought in are revenue/income generating and for good business development.

  • To actively conduct job interviews in BIL/GIL.

  • To attend weekly sales meetings.

  • To work closely with branch service staff to ensure a high level of after-sales service is provided to BIL/GIL customers.

  • To share company business strategy, sales focus and regular review on sales performance with BIEs

  • To share new initiatives and market intelligence feedback on product and services.

  • To provide overall guidance of business strategy, sales focus and review on sales performance

  • To assist in the implementation of control measures and monitoring plans for compliance and operational risk (OR) management or other relevant OR initiatives.

  • To undertake and coordinate periodic business monitoring (self-assessment) activities within the business unit and escalate findings and or breaches to UORM/Business Unit Head and BORM,when they occur.

  • To ensure risks and issues identified are resolved in an appropriate and timely manner.

  • To assist the UORM in the investigation of financial crime risks where applicable.

  • To set priority on urgent proposals.

  • To perform sound appraisal of credit and identify solutions to meet customers%26rsquo; needs.

  • Resilience in booking new business matched with ability to demonstrate due diligence in recommending proposals.

  • To decline propositions which do not meet our lending criteria.

  • Ability to exercise good customer service and prudent in handling of customer complaints and issues.
