Job Description

The Market General Manager (Market GM) has primary responsibility to drive and reinforce partnerships with AXA Entities by overseeing definition and execution of roadmaps on the group of countries covered (the %26lsquo;Market%26rsquo;).
The Market GM also oversees implementation of Group Operations (GO) strategy %26amp; decisions in respect of legal %26amp; compliance imperatives  
The Market GM is a direct report to a Group Operations ExCom member and has the following main activities:
1) Oversee Market partnerships, directly interacting with AXA Entities CEOs and Markets%26rsquo; stakeholders as the Market Account Executive

  • Represent GO towards AXA entities in all field of action (IT, GETD, Security, Procurement, ABS, Finance) and ensure a solid partnership is built between GO and each local AXA entity of the Market

  • Initiate regular status meetings with the AXA Entities Leadership teams to understand their needs, increase GO predictability and ensure roles and responsibilities are clear on both sides

  • Coordinate Market partnership improvement initiatives and proactively intervene when needed

  • Create demand for GO products and services on his/her Market together with Country GMs

  • Prepare the future by providing sound strategic input for future Market partnership orientations

2) Country GM Oversight

  • Orchestrate the Country GM community: forums, best practices, processes and programs, key information sharing

  • Oversee joint roadmap yearly process (June / October of each year) led by each GM, challenge intermediate outputs and validate final version, ensure periodic follow-ups with GO and AXA Entities at country level

  • Oversee day-to-day relationships between country GM%26rsquo;s and GO divisions and act as a contact point.

  • Properly communicate and cascade key information, messages from center to Country GM. Be ambassador of GO cultural transformation

  • Promote a transversal view on all GO activities within the Market (IT, GETD, Security, Procurement, ABS), raise and fix organizational issues when needed.

  • Ensure mid and long-term opportunities are captured, issues are identified and reported to GO ExCom when needed.

3) Take responsibility for risk management, compliance, corporate legal and internal control topics for the various GO entities within the market

  • Ensure all Risk and Control, Legal and Governance, Compliance and Data Privacy rules are executed across Market and within countries in collaboration with dedicated GO General Secretary and Risk teams

  • Ensure alignment with center and escalate key issues to GO Chief Risk Officer %26amp; General Secretary

  • Oversee local Board of Directors governance process, overview the agendas, propose topics and support coherence of Board of Directors documents at Market level as well as alignment with center for financials and investments.

  • Can be proposed as permanent member of local BoD%26rsquo;s within the Market.
