Why does this job exist and why is it critical​
Manage the implementation of the Company’s communication strategies and policies which include PR and media, issue and crisis communication, information dissemination and strategic communications advice
Manage and execute the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy and initiatives to maintain an excellent corporate reputation.
What are you accountable for
  • Develop and lead a corporate communications plan for the Company which is consistent with and reflects the organisation’s strategic vision and objectives while maintaining an excellent reputation with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead & drive media-related activities and programmes for all key divisions to ensure positive publicity, including end-to-end planning, development, and implementation of PR campaigns
  • Research, plan, strategise and develop content for media consumption, including press releases, talking points for spokespersons, Q&A documents, articles, video scripts and infographics
  • Coordinate press conferences, product/campaign launches, media interviews and media briefings, ensuring media needs and requirements are met with the highest standards
  • Develop communication tactical and strategic plans for crisis management and countermeasures to contain the damaging effects of any crisis situation that impacts the Company's reputation
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, manage and measure their involvement in CSR activities including publicity around community initiatives and campaigns.
  • Plan and develop media engagement activities to maintain a robust media network.

What do you need to have for this role
Formal Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Specialized in: Communication, Public Relations
Work Experience
Total Relevant Experience: 11 to15
Skills / Knowledge
  • Must have the ability and experience to create appropriate content for mainstream media, socialmedia, websites, and other relevant distribution channels.
  • Excellent writing skills in English for various content that we want to develop to support the businesses and for effective media campaigns. The ability to write well in BM is an added advantage.
  • Relationship management experience with a commitment to providing exceptional levels of service to both internal and external partners
  • Experience in managing the implementation of communications strategies and policies
  • Ability to provide an assessment of media landscape and analysis on competitors
  • Solid media network with skills in media relationship-building initiatives. This includes mainstream print, online, and tech blogs.
