Job Description

• Solution Design of Network architecture for internal and customer infrastructure, including:
• Office LAN and WAN
• Datacentre Network
• Wireless environment
• Cloud environment
• Consultation Support Pre/Post-Sales initiatives, includes pricing for Network Services
• Incident, Change & Request and Problem Management
• Release Management & Operations
• Equipment end-to-end life cycle from commissioning, ramp-down/decommissioning and refresh
• Hardware and Firmware Upgrades – for all equipment such as Switches, Firewalls, Proxies, Access Points, etc)
• Capacity and Forecast analysis
• Cost Management Analysis
• Procurement and Vendor Management
• Project Delivery and Consultation
• Network technology knowledge sharing
• Multiple environments with unique process and mechanics depending on location and technology.
• Comply with all process and quality management as defined by the company.
• Wide range of network products and technologies
• Internal and external stakeholder management
• University degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent technical or professional qualification with at least 8 years of experience in a relevant field of activity
• Major in Computer Networking is an added advantage.
• ITIL Foundation Certified.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certified.
• Proficient in Network Security
• Proficient in Hybrid Cloud Networking (with network layer security proficiency e.g. NAT)
• Proficient in Fortigate Firewall products
• Proficient in BlueCoat products
• Proficient in Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW)
• Proficient in Software-defined Network/Wide-Area Network (SDN/SDWAN)
• Proficient in Dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP and other common protocols
• Strong network foundation and expertise that can be applied across all brand of network products
• Well-versed in Data Centre architecture and solutions
• Knowledge of concepts, applications, technologies of cloud computing; ability to design and develop systems architectures that fulfill the cloud computing services.
• Knowledge of and ability to design and improve organizational IT structures in order to better support business operations, for example, by providing data in a more expedient manner.
• Knowledge of and experience with a methodology and tools developing a set of technology blueprints for addressing business problems and computing requirements. Ability to apply these to the tasks to be done.
• Knowledge of the how's and why's of preparing and justifying business cases and value propositions; ability to justify business expenditures by identifying cost, benefits, ROI, opportunities, and risks.
• Understanding and insight into the importance of thinking and reasoning at a conceptual level and ability to identify the critical ideas and interdependencies among system elements that impact performance.
• Knowledge of effective project management methods, strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, coordinate, monitor and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
• Knowledge of techniques and tools that enable to break down complex questions into smaller topics and promote effective analysis. Ability to determine the root cause and details of problems, create alternative solutions that resolve the problems in the best interest of the business.
• Knowledge of the functions of IP-based services; ability to configure, supply and support TCP/IP-based networks and related services.
• Knowledge of and ability to investigate, troubleshoot, resolve and prevent the recurrence of incidents that interfere with the normal delivery of IT services.
• Knowledge of network administration systems and procedures; ability to address the upkeep and maintenance of computer hardware and software which comprises a computer network, including the (deployment, configuration, maintenance and monitoring of active network equipment.)
• Knowledge of network concepts, technologies, tools and philosophies, and the ability to design an organization network infrastructure and services.
• Knowledge of the necessity and value of teamwork; experience with and ability to participate effectively as part of a team.
• Knowledge of telecommunications, hardware and IT products and services; ability to apply this knowledge to meet customer requirements.
• Knowledge of the functions of VoIP products and services; ability to implement, operate and support the delivery of voice transmission and multimedia sessions via IP networks.
• Knowledge and understanding of the documentation process and its importance. Ability to write, read and understand documentation, including technical documentation, in order to record all relevant aspects for other users.
• Understanding of the importance of inter-team collaboration in breaking down silos and achieving business results; ability to work with peers from various functions to communicate and collaborate in solving problems as one team.
• Understanding of the value of innovations and being able to develop new innovative ideas and initiatives that improve the performance of the organization, the team or the unit. Ability to reflect latest innovations in the market.
• Knowledge of technological and business trends in the field of ICT as well as the ability to predict the technological and business impact on company and external customers and to derive recommendations for the company’s development as well as to offer future-oriented products and services.
• Knowledge of configuration techniques and procedures in the field of IT, Innovation and Network Technology. Ability of making changes / updates to an existing system / program according to out-of-the-box functionalities.
• Knowledge of methods as well as the willingness and the ability to integrate continuous learning in the business in order to gain and to maintain knowledge sustainably and for the long-term.
• Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
• Knowledge of principles, processes, procedures and tools for solution development; Ability to assess requirements and provide solutions.
• Knowledge and understanding of how networks are built, how they work, and what can be achieved with their use; ability to transfer and apply this understanding for the task.
• Knowledge of test tools and procedures; Ability to perform tests before and after application releases and to provide an associated analysis of test results with the aim of improving application and process quality.
