The Role Responsibilities


  • Awareness and understanding of the Group&rsquos business strategy and model appropriate to the role.


  • Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates


  • Core responsibility will be building applications using Pega.

  • Will be responsible for designing and building components of enterprise applications and providing consultative guidance on all project assignments. He / she will work as part of a project team to ensure that the business and technical architecture of the delivered solution matches customer requirements. At times, he/she will be asked to lead aspects of design, development and mentoring of resources.

People and Talent

  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.

  • Provide support in recruiting right talent for the team.

Risk Management

  • Ability to interpret the Group&rsquos financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures


  • Follow all process and controls required for the entire lifecycle of the project delivery

  • Contribute to guidelines and standards for PEGA Delivery.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group&rsquos Values and Code of Conduct.

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.   • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Other Responsibilities

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand the requirements, propose solution design, and walkthrough with stakeholders/end users using Case flow , UI and data model design.

  • Utilise BPM best practices and follow required standard/guidelines for implementation life cycle stages.

  • Plan and lead the execution of PPRC implementation enhancements, Integration with other systems

  • Performance tuning and optimisation of PRPC implementations

  • Understand the scalability and reuse aspects of the application in development and can provide and evaluate enterprise class structure that is scalable and extensible

  • Design applications considering scalability/performance/re-usability/user experience upfront.
