The Role Responsibilities
Brief
The Performance Test Lead is responsible for planning the Performance Test Plan and Test execution ensuring that the performance test execution tasks are assigned and executed accordingly. They are responsible for mitigating business risks through timely, precise execution and validation of test results. They must work closely with the business, project teams, as well as development teams to create a cohesive performance test pack and plan for new and existing functions/enhancements as well as application fixes. They will work under minimal supervision to carry out procedures and execute testing to ensure that the application meeting project engagement and requirements. They will also help to train and guide others in the implemented performance testing framework.
Strategy
  • Perform non-functional and technical test execution activities as per engagement in the test project.
  • Accountable for assigned project deliverables, including accurate test reporting to the test manager.
  • Manage test projects by working closely with the application team to understand project requirements.
  • Plan, analyze, design, develop, and execute test cases / work mix (where applicable).
  • Identify test environment requirements and liaise (and coordinate) with staff in testing support.
  • Task planning/scheduling and allocation of tasks to senior / test engineers, and ensure work done according to the test schedule.
  • Facilitate problem resolution, and verify fixes received from application team.
  • Conduct reviews and inspections of project deliverables (eg. FS, system test results, etc.) and provide feedback.
  • Assist the test manager/scrum master in managing day-to-day testing activities, such as test monitoring and status reporting in relation to non functional testing.
  • Assist the test manager in performing test estimation for small or tiny projects.
  • Follow the test process and continuously improve the quality of the test process, along the project progress
  • Participate in project meetings to provide feedback and statistics of the project in relation to the test quality.
  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of delivery of testing assignments
  • Report and update test status promptly and accurately.
  • Manage business users in guiding and obtaining Non functional requirement as well as obtaining the relevant sign off for the performance test deliverables.
  • Able to implement test process within various project models and technology platform.
  • Able to work as a team and be proactive in providing out-of-the box solution if required.

  • Good understanding and able to apply test processes laid down within the test team, and/or standards as defined by project and SCB.

Our Ideal Candidate
Experience
  • Strong Load runner and JMeter
  • Strong in Development/Programming skills in Java, VBScript, SQL, C++, Unix, Shell scripts, etc.
  • Able to perform Unit testing and automated scripts is a plus.
  • Familiar with Control-M/Batch jobs
  • Strong in Continuous Integration such as Devops, Jenkins.
  • Strong in Deployment, Environment and configuration setup.
  • Familiar with Selenium, Cucumber/Genie Framework, Gherkin Scripts or any automation tools in the market
  • Familiar in using JIRA & Confluence
  • Minimum 8 - 12 years of testing & development experience is preferably
  • Experience in Test Automation framework and non functional testing
  • Understanding and knowledge on code versioning tools, such as Git, Bitbucket

Qualification
  • Degree in Computing /Computer Science or any professional certificate

Skills
  • Deliver high quality work- build for future (long term solutions)
  • Development and Support experience in Non Functional Testing

  • Good understanding of and experience in projects (e.g. SDLC, Agile methodology)
  • Team player, willing to learn and coach
  • Testing or project management experience
  • Development and Support experience in Automation
  • Strong in Release management and Deployment
  • Understanding of banking domain knowledge in risks and finance would be a plus.
