The Role Responsibilities
  • The PMO will provide analytical, reporting and oversight of the Technology Credit Card Personal Loan portfolio (herewith forth known as ‘team). Group - means the Standard Chartered headquarter / holding company.
    • Strive to standardize our processes and output, enforcing compliance to PMO and finance standards and introduce economies of repetition
    • Act as the champion of project finances and Clarity
    • Curate the financial documentation generated by the projects under management.
    • Support the successful delivery of projects through effective and accurate financial processes.
    • News writer on new tech project implementations.

The PMO role is key to the success of the project and critical in ensuring a well governed, proactively well organised and managed project finances. While scale, scope and complexity of projects may vary, the responsibilities are required to be delivered under tight deadlines, across multiple geographic locations, with demanding stakeholders and under strict financial scrutiny.
The ideal candidate is familiar with project controls, administration and toolsets across project delivery life cycle. He/she is 'critical thinker', actively demonstrating their analytical skills, ingenuity, initiative and sound judgment when it comes to supporting the Developer Managers in all aspects of the project delivery and team's financial. They will be well organised with a structured approach to problem solving, organising and communicating to stakeholders.
  • Perform financial & resource management tasks in Clarity e.g. administer time booking, task allocation to resources, forecast & budget input, manual reclass input.
  • Track and improve financial status by analysing results and monitoring variances identifying trends recommending actions.
  • Collate data from the team both project and production (as and when needed) for budgeting, accrual, cost centers and impairment to support Group Financial exercises.
  • Manages the team's vendor cost (Purchase Requisition to Payment) and storage/server monthly cost.
  • Maintains team's finance process, including prioritisation and resource management.
  • As an extension to the team's administrative task of resource management, the role is also require to collate, track and record staff headcounts, hiring updates, resource allocation report, project list record and any other reporting from Portfolio or Group.
  • Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data preparing reports making presentations of findings and analysis and make recommendations.
  • Able to explain finance term to non-finance person on the term such as accrual, withholding tax, opex, capex and impairment.
  • Collate achievements to publish to wider audiences, coordinating with the communications manager
  • Act as conduit amongst Program and Project Managers with the PMO, Technology Finance and the Governance & Business Management teams on all aspects of Project governance and administration
  • Write tech news on recently implementation / launches within SCB CCPL portfolio.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Degree in Business Administration/ Finance/ Accounting.
  • MS Excel Advanced Level (master of Pivot, IFS, SUMIFS would be at advantage).
  • Detailed understanding of Purchase Requisition lifecycle
  • Detailed understanding of process of Finance Shared Business Services
  • Proven stakeholder management across department and geographical location experience
  • Proven experience in providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful project finances outcome
  • Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills
  • Strong networking and interpersonal skills
  • Acute eye for detail and strong, tenacious personality required to enforce strict governance and standards
  • Able to manage time and prioritise workload as needed
  • Experienced user of MS Project and MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
