Job Description

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or equivalent.
• At least 5 - 8 years of working experience in Product Development or equivalent.
• Preferably candidate who has experience in Life Insurance industry with strong Actuarial background.
• Good academic background (bachelor’s degree, with actuarial science degree being an added advantage).
• Exceptional analytical, problem solving and collaborative.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
• Ability to converse in Mandarin as this role requires to deal with Mandarin speaking internal stakeholders.
• Good interpersonal and relational skills, with strong networking abilities.
• Strong coaching abilities to develop staff.
• Preferably Managers specializing in Actuarial Science/Statistics or equivalent.
• Development of a product from conceptualization to launch.
• Actively conduct market/product intelligence.
• Prepare and conduct focus group sessions to gather feedback.
• Liaise with the reinsurer on product design (including definitions, underwriting requirements, etc.)
• Manage the timeline and deliverables of new product/campaigns or other product initiatives. This includes (but not limited to):
 i. Conducting a product walkthrough with Product Implementation Committee (PIC)
ii. Charting and monitoring the implementation timeline
iii. Problem solving implementation issue, including organizing and leading discussions/meetings
iv. Product setting within OPUS, policy contract development, sales illustration development, etc.
v. Preparation of filing materials to AZAP and BNM
• Preparation of training materials, conducting training sessions to internal staff and trainers/distribution channel department, supporting and/or conducting training to distributors.
• Monitor the product, gather insights on areas of success/failure post launch.
