Job Description:
  • Roll out various campaigns and initiatives in collaboration with Federal and State Governments
  • Formulate engagement strategies and engage with key officials and representatives from Ministries, Government Agencies, and State Governments on behalf of Shopee
  • Draw up project plans and communicate effectively across multiple internal and external stakeholders to align on scope, timelines and expectations
  • Establish processes and identify appropriate indicators to monitor performance and progress
  • Formulate and facilitate project missions, goals and resource management
  • Build up the Government Affairs function over time as it evolves with business needs
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned


Requirements:
  • Experience in government, government affairs, or stakeholder relations, ideally with a focus on e-commerce
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (government affairs, law, political science, public administration, public relations)
  • Excellent communications skills (both oral and written) in English and Bahasa Melayu to communicate with various stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills to meet deadlines, establish clear priorities quickly and bring projects to completion on time and within budget
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a troubleshooting oriented mindset that enable working with a multicultural group of professionals
  • Excellent problem-solving skills self-motivated, with strong analytical thinking
  • Ability to perform under time constraints
  • Impeccable degree of discretion, confidentiality, and ethics
