Job Description

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Lead the analyst team for successful survey execution, assigning tasks, setting priorities, managing timelines and workload
  • Work closely with Research Managers throughout, confirming priorities, timelines and targets
  • Specifically for survey execution: oversee the analyst interactions with in-country business coordinators for survey launch, confirming client lists and managing queries to ensure that client research studies progress as planned.
  • Lead survey communications to clients, always protecting client personal data. Oversee the process of sending invites, reminders, response tracking, status reporting and sharing of feedback including red flag management
  • Liaise with professional market research agencies for survey setup, status monitoring and interim reporting
  • Monitor achievement of research goals by compiling stats and reports for Research Managers and business managers to ensure that surveys meet the response targets and demographics that we have set
  • Develop analysis models and communications materials to share research results with countries and with business heads, working closely with Research Managers
  • Translate survey results into insights to improve marketing and product strategies for CIB, TB, FM, CPB etc
  • Participate in country results briefings, working to ensure that the survey results are understood by in-country teams
  • Strengths
Job Requirements

  • Graduate in a numerate discipline, Masters preferred. Statistics, Marketing or Business Administration is preferred, or at a minimum a speciality which developed research skills
  • Minimum 10 years research experience ideally from agency-side
  • Minimum 5 years team-leader experience, directing, motivating, coaching and developing highly motivated and effective teams of research analysts
  • Minimum 4 years experience delivering multi-country and ideally global research projects. Excellent project management skills, good prioritization, able to identify issues and risks to project progress and to seek help when needed for continued progress
  • Minimum 2 years experience dealing with senior level stakeholders in client organisations
  • Experience running surveys with hard to reach audiences and specifically with B2B and HNW segments
  • Experience of financial services and the Corporate / Institutional banking product array including Cash, Trade, FX, Securities Services, Corporate Advisory etc
  • Expert knowledge of Statistical software packages such as SPSS, SAS, with knowledge of Qualtrics and Q (critical), Excel & PowerPoint (critical requirement)
  • Programming experience is a strong positive, either SAS or Excel VBA macros
  • A natural team player, with a clear client orientation and a passion for service excellence
  • Very strong communication skills: ability to build clear and effective communications that drive action
  • Adept at statistical analysis and modelling: ability to build hypotheses, synthe information from different sources and extract key themes / messages from detailed data
  • Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization – with team, senior executives, and middle management
  • Experience in leading teams of early-career staff, building a motivated and energetic team and focusing on the skills development and engagement of the team members, creating a positive and proactive culture
  • Self-starter, comfortable working independently. Detailed oriented with strong work ethics
  • Comfortable to work in a relatively unstructured, project-based and multi-cultural environment
  • Willing to travel for work – typically 2-3 day trips within the Asia region approximately once per quarter
