Job Description

Our client is an electronics distributor with offices around the world, they are expanding & looking to recruit a team of Purchasing Executive to be based at their Johor Bahru office
Main Responsibilities

  • Plan for electronics part purchases and issue Purchase Orders to suppliers
  • Follow up with suppliers on order status, monitor and expedite deliveries as needed
  • Maintain accurate purchasing, pricing and cost data on applicable systems
  • Maintain inventory availability, manage inventory replenishment and allocation to sites or stores
  • Preparation of related reports & documents

Key Skills Required

  • 1-3+ years work experience in purchasing or related work with an overview of material movement framework (planning, sourcing, purchasing, inventory control, shipping)
  • Communicate effectively orally and written in English. Additional language proficiency (eg, Mandarin, Japanese, etc) will be an added advantage
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of ERP system
