Responsibilities:
·Plans, develops, coordinates and directs antenna development activities for new productprograms.
·Develop concepts, applies engineering theories and methods to investigate and identify solution for complex technical problems.
·Responsible for development, simulation and analysis of antenna concepts/circuits and PCB board optimization.
·Responsible for maintaining antenna product development progress per the schedule.
·Responsible for risk mitigation, design optimization, cost optimization and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) while meeting customer’s product quality vision.
·Responsible to achieve Flex as well as customer’s testing requirements (environmental tests, electrical tests, EMC, ESD, etc.) and agency requirements (UL, FCC, CSA, etc.).
·Influencing system architecture choices for new products considering product requirements, development risk, system cost and time to market.
·Develop detailed subsystem designs balancing cost and risk while ensuring high quality.
·Work with the rest of a cross functional team to transition the design to high volume manufacturing
·Participate in collaborative development activities with colleagues in other location (Taiwan, China, USA, etc.)
·Participate in the new hiring of electronics engineering staff.
·Supervise and manage junior staffs and engineering interns
Requirements:
·BS Electronic/Communication/Instrumentation Engineering (MS EE preferred)
·Experience 5+ years in a consumer electronics product development environment.
·Strong foundation in electronic and antenna engineering fundamentals
·Hands on working experience in antenna analysis, design and measurements
·Experienced in Mixed Signal Design
·RF design inclusive of on board antenna (2.4 GHz to 5.8 GHz) Knowledge of radio standards (such as 802.11a/b/g/n/11ac, BT/BLE, or 3GPP).
·Being proficient with electromagnetic simulation tools such as CST and HFSS as well as other tools like Matlab for data processing.
·Understanding the trade-offs of RF system design.
·Some knowledge of RF sub-systems such as LNA, PA, etc.
·Familiarity with regulatory standards (FCC/IC/ETSI etc)
·The ability to construct or modify hardware parts or models using simple hand tools proficiently.
·Able to develop test software to support in the debugging and analysis of new hardware.
