Get to know the Role:

  • This Risk Operation Analyst position presents an exciting opportunity to take on an investigative role in our company. Put your ‘Fraud Prevention knowledge to use while developing strategies for risk mitigation and ensuring we have a safe platform. If you are detail-oriented and inquisitive, this role can give you the chance to fully develop your interests not only with risk management and investigation but also stakeholder management and driving projects.

The day-to-day activities:

  • Perform onboarding checks for merchants (KYC & KYB)

  • Working on Transaction Monitoring investigation (AML) and filing Suspicious Transaction Report(STR) towards the government body.

  • Conducting Analysis to understand Risk / Fraud behaviors, contribute to fraud detection features and models.

  • Performing Proactive investigation on both merchants and consumers to understand the nature of transactions whenever rule alert is triggered.

  • Constantly providing feedbacks and rule recommendations

  • Responding to chargeback requests from issuing banks whenever a dispute is raised and investigating the nature of Chargeback to look for potential fraud patterns.

  • Ensure that work is completed in accordance with established procedures and standards

  • Prompt maintenance of SOPs for relevant processes

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision whenever required

  • Have good stakeholder management and liaise with other departments especially Compliance, Data Engineers, and Policy Team

  • Work on both phone and emails channels

  • Participate in meetings, presentations or other designated special projects as assigned by department management.

The must haves:

  • Proficiency in SQL is a must

  • Proficiency in English Language is a must

  • Programming languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, VB Script) to drive process automation will be an added advantage

  • Creative problem solving, strong critical thinking, and a get things done mentality

  • Quickly adapt to new technology & systems: experience with Zendesk, Google doc/sheet, and Microsoft Office preferred.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, drive and embrace change

  • Organizational and time-management skills

  • Good decision making skills & critical thinking

  • Available to work on weekends (flexible schedule)

  • Be detailed and quality-oriented as well as have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Team player with a positive mental attitude, high energy, high integrity, strong work ethic, enthusiasm, sense of humor, and a commitment to the mission
