Why does this job exist and why is it critical​
The Roaming Core Service Specialist will be heavily involved in demands planning & service management especially for Roaming products and services. They are required to analyze business requirements and products behavior to enable more effective solutions design. Their scopes also include the management of the delivery of the roaming products, service and the associated solutions to enable business revenue ambitions and Unmatched Customer Experience based on network own built resources and external resources available in the market that are integrated, in a cost effective & efficient manner.
What are you accountable for
  • Focal or liaison point for Business and IT for concepts and plans of new and existing services and products for the necessary planning of solutions/services.
  • Ensure completeness and understanding of business requirements from the respective Product Owners/Product Managers/ISD Business Analyst (BA) in the product definition document via proper feedback loop, list of queries for ambiguity and organizing the necessary briefing and feedback forums with key stakeholders to ensure all angles are covered in the business requirements.
  • Explore solutions, products or service plan options with vendors, Solution Architects, and ISD to come up with the plans/options that are cost effective and timely, with good service/customer experience (reliable and consistent), scalable and integrated from a platform/solution perspective.
  • Deliver the product plan/solutions documentation from the final product definition documents for onward detail design and implementation.
  • Ensure completeness of Detailed Design Documents and Method of Procedure for implementation/roll out.
  • Ensure completeness of Feasibility Assessments/Impact Assessments for Business Initiatives/Customer Experience Improvement prior to business case approval.
  • To ensure business forecast is given to ensure complete assessment for network capacity and service planning. Liaison with network & technology engineers/designers for complete assessment deliverables.
  • Provide the necessary and periodic network updates and service insights to the Business.
  • Work on enabling the required analytics/reports for business as reference to plan new products, attack key segments, address eroding trends, manage data explosion and improve customer experience.
  • To improve customer experience and reduce customer complains.
  • To benchmark against competitors to ensure Maxis maintains network leadership.
  • Identify and implement key initiatives and suggestions that can improve the overall product delivery life cycle, cost of delivery and product delivery/management process.

What do you need to have for this role
  • Degree in ICT, Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technology or any similar disciplines
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) with 6-8 years relevant telco experience and possesses good knowledge on mobile products and core network
  • 2-3 years of experience in Products and Services Planning, Solutions Design or demand planning would be advantage
  • Good business acumen and industry insights
  • Knowledge in end-to-end system integration
  • Personal traits: Positive, Passionate, Collaborative, A self-starter, Ability to perform under pressure in a challenging environment and A team player
