Why does this job exist and why is it critical​
The Security Network Specialist is responsible for providing technical advice, guidance, and assistance regarding Information Security assets and devices in Maxis. The Security Network Specialist will work as an onsite specialist for managing security operations, overseeing vendors in the maintenance of security devices, process, and procedures as they are related to support the daily security operations activities. Implement security policies and managing it for Enterprise network.
Besides that the person would need to be able to design a secure network for Enterprise Managed Services for Routers and customers LAN network.
What are you accountable for

  • Manage security devices and appliances ensuring documentation, version, patches & signatures are up to date

  • Perform review, analysis and fine tuning of security devices/appliances. Analyse events, alerts, incidents to identify patterns, suspicious activity, threats and implement countermeasures to prevent and/or minimize threats (proactive)

  • Liaise with 3rd party service providers (APT), security vendor & infra services on issues/support on security devices/appliances

  • Prepare and issue security device compliance, licensing usage, health check review reports. Prepare and issue security compliance review reports (with conclusions, recommendations and follow-ups)

  • Provide technical analysis and review of tools as needed in support of efficient security administration and operations

  • Provide assistant to IRT team to conduct investigation on security breaches

  • Provide IT security advice and consultation to business and others as necessary (CAB, ATC/RFC review )

What do you need to have for this role

  • Bachelors Degreespecialised in: Information Technology / Security

  • Total Relevant Experience: 2 years in managing Information Security Devices (SIEM, APT, IPS, AV, etc.) or Network

  • Configure Firewall, Packet Shaper, Router, Switch, Bandwidth Optimiser, Load Balancer

  • Knowledge in PCI-DSS ​is a must

  • Experience in managing security devices, including SIEM, APT, IPS, AV,DBF,WAF, DLP & syslog
  • Knowledge of general security concepts project management and networking.
  • Experience in security incident management
  • Knowledge of various operating system flavours including but not limited to Windows, Linux, Unix
  • Working knowledge and experience with MS office with proficiency in Excel
