Job Description
o Responsible for leading a group of design engineers in schematic entry and provides guidance or reference to layout engineers or contract workers of assigned functional areas including PCB Circuit routing analysis and system design tradeoff. o Define system and board level formfactor and architecture collaborate with post-silicon validation leads on board feature sets and ensure fitting into specific formfactor or physical board real estate. o Lead junior engineers responsible for the overall tape out and power on success of the platform including the design subsections feature requirements disposition with the appropriate stakeholders conducting schematic design and layout reviews. o As a final gate to ensure tape-out checklists of a platform engineering board design are robust meeting engineering users requirements plus industry and Intel quality standards. o Work in partnership with the platform architect mechanical thermal and pre/post silicon validation engineers to ensure all platform features are covered and taken into consideration in the design phase to ensure robustness and meeting requirements of engineering stakeholders. o Leverages architecture or features in FPGA/ASIC/SOC/CPU to create robust and flexible design caters for future upgrades or last-minute changes after the platform is deployed thru field upgrades. o Drive continuous improvements in both design tool flows or process simplification and automation to improve efficiency and quality. o Ensures design meets quality reliability and functionality specifications.
Qualifications
o 12+ years of industry experience with Bachelor of Science or a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or Computer Science or similar degree o Experience with Cadence Allegro design tools and knowledge and in schematic capture printed circuit board layout experience o Experience with system and component level debug board bring up and validation in platform board with FPGA/ASIC/SOC/CPU o Design experience in FPGA-based platform architecture and electrical design of FPGA motherboard with daughter cards This includes integration of system component electrical thermal and mechanical inputs o Knowledge in platform-package co-design optimization will be a strong plus o Experience with high speed signal measurements using oscilloscopes BERT spectrum analyzers network analyzers is a strong plus o Hands on experience in platform design using Intel/Altera FPGA devices is highly desirable but not compulsory o Working experience to automate design process and routine works with Perl/TCL/Python scripting is a strong plus o Strong skills in communication initiative promote innovation and teamwork o Highly motivated to learn and adapt to fast-changing technologies and environmentInside this Business Group
