Description :
Responsible to originate and structure products based on clients’ financing requirement and perform comprehensive credit underwriting and evaluation and including gathering, analyzing and assessing the relevant information on existing and prospective FIG clients (Non-Bank FIs) and business economics of the credit applications. Thereon, making suitable recommendations to the Approving Authority within the stipulated timeline and in accordance to the policy and procedures.
Responsibilities :
Reviews client credit profile, accounts and portfolios in order to identify, evaluate and determine the appropriate course of action in order to maximize credit quality and minimize risk and potential loss to the Bank including to perform MFRS 9 Impairment Assessment.
Lead and inculcate good practice of credit and asset quality management within the team; vet and recommend credit assessment prepared by team member.
To work in collaboration with other relevant stakeholders in performing the credit evaluation such as Coverage and Product partners including client engagement.
The role will also be required to actively contribute in credit process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency of the credit assessment.
Requirements :
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Banking/Business and/or a professional accountancy qualification.
At least seven (7) years of experience in credit underwriting (analysis) and/or lending activities.
Excellent credit analysis and analytical skills (consistent MICAP score of 3.8).
Thorough knowledge of economics, accounting and finance.
Practical knowledge of credit administration, policy and procedures.
Good understanding of lending products, Global Markets/Treasury, Trade and other products requiring limits.
Ability to multitask, work in a dynamic high paced environment with minimum supervision.
Excellent technical reports writing as well as verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to coach others.
Ability to negotiate with both internal and external parties.
