Intel's Programmable Solutions Group is hiring a Senior CAD Engineer. In this role you will be shaping the future of FPGA computing by developing new and creative methods to increase efficiency and quality for all the Intel FPGA designs. You will combine knowledge of circuit/layout design with software development techniques and AI/ML techniques to deliver cutting-edge solutions for our FPGA design team, shaping the way these products come to life. You will work with the best engineering talent in the world to collaborate on these new methods. You will play a pivotal role in our mission to revolutionize FPGA computing.
In this role, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Develop FPGA/SOC reliability verification (RV) methodology by using CAD/EDA tools to ensure quality design execution and tapeout.

  • Work with design engineer and layout engineer team to ensure methodology of reliability verification is effective and efficient.

  • Providing consultation and EDA tools support to the projects in the area of IR Drop simulation, reliability verification and parasitic extraction.

  • Deploying EDA tools in the area of IR Drop simulation, reliability verification and parasitic extraction to the design team.

  • Creating and delivering effective documentation and training to provide effective support in the area of IR Drop simulation, reliability verification and parasitic extraction

Qualifications
  • BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, AI/ML-related, with minimum 5 years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge in EDA tools such as Totem/Redhawk and Seahawk
  • Programming knowledge in Python, Perl, Tcl/Tk, C++, C-shell and other software languages.
  • Experience as a design automation engineer OR as an application engineer with an EDA company in the field of IR Drop simulation, reliability verification and parasitic extraction will be an added advantage
