Enterprise Batch Engineering and Delivery

  • Architect and deliver enterprise batch and automation solutions across the group for all businesses
  • Establish architecture governance vision for different solutions aligning to the overall technology direction, addressing the needs of the business and supplemented with an actionable strategy measurable outcome.
  • Develop a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint
  • Mandate to deliver and drive adherence to central batch and scheduling solutions and best practices for enterprise batch across the group technology
  • Architect and Sign-Off all major projects relating to Enterprise Batch Management Tool Set
  • Assist, when required, in the conception and delivery of various Service Management led initiatives
  • Design Control-M solutions for integration with DevOps Framework
  • Design API led solutions
  • Contribute in defining versioning with the knowledge of SCM tools like Bitbucket, Stash, GIT
  • Oversee progress of Solution Implementation to ensure consistency with design
  • Ensure designed solutions meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.
  • Design and build in-house solutions and efficiency tools where it makes sense
  • Architect of design, SDLC and product roadmap
  • Vendor tool customization and deployment
  • Web-based front-end tools for clients
  • Web-based / mobile custom monitoring and performance visualizations and real-time dashboards
  • Back-end batch data layer and historical data solutions
Enterprise Batch Toolset Strategy and Solutions

  • Architect of the tooling strategy and product roadmap for EBM, Capacity, and Performance related tools
  • Architect of EBM tooling product roadmaps and lifecycle
  • Design and Implement Solutions to integrate Control-M with other Automation and Orchestration tools
  • Analyse, design, and implement strategies for continuous deployments while ensuring high availability on production and pre-production systems
  • Collaborating with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for applications
  • Using tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product
  • Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility

Enterprise Batch Data Strategy and Delivery

  • Architect of the overall EBM data strategy for the aggregation, storage and maintenance of batch data
  • Design and build of a strategic and resilient solution to reliably capture and leverage batch systems and batch application related event, capacity, and performance data
  • Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to EBM standards
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to the Team

 Proven experience as Control-M Architect
 12-18 years of relevant experience in a hands-on, technical, global engineering role, in market leading Work Load Automation tools space
 Experience in Server, Network and Database technologies and solutions
 Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture
 Experienced in driving large scale transformation projects
 A technical mindset with great attention to detail
 High quality organizational and leadership skills
 Proven experience in managing projects in a large organisation, preferably within the financial sector
 Hands-on experience in the design, build, and implementation of enterprise solutions, with enterprise batch and scheduling solutions a strong plus
 Hands-on experience in front-end and server-side development projects
o Experience with design and build of IT dashboards / monitoring visualizations a plus
 Excellent technical, communication and presentation skills
 Deep technical knowledge and experience in the below BMC toolsets is a must have:
o BMC Control-M
o BMC BIM/WCM/Self-Serve
o BMC Control-M API
o BMC Control-M Archiving
 BMC Control-M Certification – Ideally to Professional/Expert level
 Deep technical knowledge and experience in the below toolsets is a distinct advantage:
o AutoSys
o Microsoft Scheduling tools
o CA Scheduling tools
o Unix Cron
 Deep Technical knowledge in DevOps strategy and toolset
o Kubernetes
o Docker
o APIs
o GitHub/BitBucket
 Good understanding of API led architecture system process experience concepts
 Understanding of quality assurance principles
 Experience in integrating Control-M with other third-party tools, preferably BMC AO, ITRS, BMC TrueSight Operations manager and Rundeck will be an advantage
 Technical University degree
 Strong Microsoft Office Skills – Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint
 ITIL Foundation v3 / ITIL Service Transition – desirable
