Job Description


Strategy & Processes
Development of key messages around STS people engagement & communications, value proposition and mandate and how it aligns with wider ET and T&I strategies
Lift the quality and voice of STS leadership messages to promote better STS staff engagement and a culture of diversity & inclusivity.
Review current STS communications channels

Communications & Engagement
Coordinate communications within STS so it speaks with a single, consistent voice
As part of the STS communications team, provide communications support for the STS management team and manage communications around organisational change within STS.
Be involved with logistics of communications-specific events, townhalls, webcasts, big calls
Strategise and develop a programme of activities around employee engagement and employee volunteering programme
Working closely with STS MT and wider STS colleagues to ensure staff voices are heard and feedback is taken on board to drive innovation.

Processes
Implement mechanisms, processes & repositories to promote better STS staff engagement and drive a culture of inclusivity and innovation within the domain.
Work with wider Enterprise Technology (ET) and Technology & Innovation (T&I) communications as well as Cyber Security Services (CSS) and Trust, Data and Resilience (TDR) to elevate and amplify communications across the organisation

Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the group operates.

Take personal responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance requirements of the role.
Understand and comply with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws and regulations, including those governing anti-money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions; the Group's policies and procedures; and the Group Code of Conduct.
Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk and compliance matters.
Embed the Group's values and code of conduct to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations among employees form part of the culture.

COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS):
A dynamic and resourceful self-starter who can hit the ground running and be a change agent.
Must have a >10 years of solid corporate communications experience within a major corporate demonstrating breadth and depth of experience across the corporate communications practice financial services and/or technology in complex, global and multicultural organisations is advantageous.
Degree or post graduate diploma qualified in mass communications or journalism preferred.
Proven track record in supporting major change or employee engagement programmes with multi-national corporations is essential, although specific project management certifications are not mandatory.
Must demonstrate creativity and a passion for innovation in your work, with a thorough knowledge of the latest communications best practice and trends.
Exceptional spoken and written English capabilities, with a passion for story telling.
Skill in initiating feedback and research to develop content.
Ability in interpreting business data to drive business decisions.
A strong drive to succeed and ability to execute tactically.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
Good working knowledge of software application: Outlook (advance), Word (Intermediate), Powerpoint (advance)
Strong emphasis on multi-tasking and ability to prioritise workload while managing multiple stakeholders.
