Job Description

The Presales Consultant will secure and retain business through professional, consultative, proactive sales activities working closely with the Sales and Go to Market Leads for the RWE and Commercial businesses directed at decision-makers. S/he provides technical advice and sales support to internal stakeholders as well as clients by developing innovative customer propositions helping with their Data Generation, Access and Commercialization needs. S/he will help IQVIA develop and deliver market leading solutions and capabilities., establish, grow and manage long-term and profitable relationships.
  • Assess commercial opportunities identified and analyze the potential, as well as risks for IQVIA's Commercial solutions
  • Ensure appropriate strategy/solution is proposed to customer, monitor actions and results against plans.
  • Developing fit-for-purpose customer propositions using market research (both internal and external sources)
  • Strong background and knowledge of key market and business intelligence tools e.g. IMS Data and market insights sources, Clarivate, Informa, Evaluate, etc.
  • Works with management to identify target customers, markets and services that matches the company's capabilities.
  • Participates in the analysis and definition of efficient, cost effective and creative solutions which help the customer become more competitive.
  • Work on creative proposals in response to customers expressed needs.
  • Work with Sales Management to identify and prioritize list of target Account opportunities for each prospecting cycle (e.g. quarterly/semi-annually).
  • Develop and implement Quarterly account plans and reviews in line with the market conditions, knowledge of the customer's potential needs and account-level goals
  • Work directly with sales to help customers understand the technical aspect of IQVIA capabilities and assists in closing business.
  • Maintain an advanced technical understanding of IQVIA service offerings and provides 'best practice' advice and solutions throughout sales cycle.
  • Identify and provide strategic information to support Business Development's annual plans.

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in business, science or related discipline
  • 3 to 7 years related experience in account management, planning and project management
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Solid understanding of the principles of drug development and commercialization
  • Understanding of Market research, Access and reimbursement and/or RWE preferred
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MC Access, MS Outlook, and Internet).
  • Excellent understanding of business and industry trends and ability to interpret the trends relevant to the business.
  • Excellent analytical skills in assessing and interpreting customer business data.
  • Must be self-directed and capable of prioritizing opportunities and performing multiple tasks.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain demanding timelines.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
