Senior Risk Analyst
Risk Management
Reports to
Head of Risk Management

Support the Head of Risk Management’s function in supporting the achievement of business goals and strategies in the following areas:
a) Development and implementation of Risk Management policies and procedures including the Risk Management Framework focusing on credit related functions;
b) Provision of credit risk advisory services; and
c) Managing and facilitating the development and implementation of Business Continuity Planning focusing on credit related functions.
1. Support the maintenance of the Risk Management Framework via the following:
  • Plan and organise governance and risk awareness initiatives including those relating to risk identification and assessment workshops to facilitate submission of identified risks for the development of an accurate risk profile of the organization.
  • Review, analyse and report the risk profile of the organisation and the risk action plans to mitigate risk identified to Risk Management Committee ( RMC), Board Audit Risk Committee ( BARC) and Board of Directors ( Board) to ensure institution of corporate governance.
  • Review and formulate enhancements to the Risk Management Framework specifically in relation to credit risk to ensure that the framework remains relevant in identifying and mitigating significant risks to the achievement of business objectives.
2. Review credit proposals including credit recovery and credit guarantee to ensure significant risks are clearly documented in order to achieve objective decision making by Management.
3. Engage with the relevant business unit in stress testing based on determined thresholds in mitigating significant risks identified in the achievement of business objectives.
4. Review and facilitate the maintenance of up-to-date policy documents in relation to credit related functions to ensure gaps and risk issues are addressed in order to ensure corporate governance practices.
5. Support the implementation of the following BCP initiatives in order to increase resilience to business disruptions and minimize the impact of such disruptions:
  • Facilitate the development as well as the maintenance of the Business Continuity Plan ( BC Plan) focusing on credit related functions; and
  • Facilitate the implementation of the BC Plan by way of organising awareness initiatives of the BC Plan and BCP tests.
6. Lead the Risk Management module on credit risk advisory services provided to external client in support of business objectives.

7. Review housing loan guarantee applications and ensure risks are clearly documented in order to achieve objective decision making by Management.
8. Prepare quarterly RMC and BARC reporting to ensure timely management reporting of risk is in place.
9. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Risk Management in support of the achievement of business objectives.

Education Qualification:

At least a degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting, or an appropriate professional qualification.
Relevant Experience:

At least 10 years of working experience with at least 7 years in Credit Risk Management of which, at least 2 years was in a managerial capacity.
Personal Characteristics & Behaviours:

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills;
  • Good command of written and spoken English Language;
  • Able to meet deadlines without compromising on quality;
  • Strong analytical skills, proactive and self-motivated; and
  • Work well independently as well as in a team.
