Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
  • Participate in SAP HR and Payroll Applications minor enhancements and projects.
  • Design, build, configure, test and roll-out SAP Applications enhancements and projects, according to agreed deliverable and deadlines.
  • Resolve SAP HR and Payroll Applications related incidents, problems and change request escalated from the SAP Service Desk team.
  • Work with SAP Service Desk team, SAP Applications Development Support team and SAP Technical Support team to ensure that services meet the terms of the Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • May required to provide support to other Group IT initiatives on an as-and- when basis.
  • Understand the system solution and design that has been implemented by SAP Implementation team.
  • Provide SAP Payroll applications support to SAP end users.
  • Perform system fixes to resolve SAP HR and Payroll applications issues.
  • Liaise with SAP Applications Development support team to resolve SAP applications customization issues.
  • Liaise with external parties to resolve issues where necessary; eg. SAP or System Implementer.
  • Perform unit and integration test, as well as coordinate users’ acceptance test for resolved issues.
  • Manage and coordinate resolution of Change Requests that may involve system enhancement, training requests etc.
  • Design, develop and configure the SAP system based on confirmed user requirements.
  • Define functional requirements and specifications of customized programs to be developed by SAP Application Development team.
  • Prepare training materials and conduct SAP system training to system users.
  • Coordinate data cleansing activities and perform data upload into SAP system as part of data conversion activities.
  • Manage relationship with business users to ensure satisfactory SAP application support services.
  • Deliver SAP applications support work within agreed service levels and budgetary guidelines defined in the Service Level Agreement.
  • Implement operational continuous improvement, service efficiency initiatives, functions improvement and rationalization to better serve business needs.
  • Help with regular reviews and analysis of Problem Management data to highlight causes of frequent or high impact failures and suggest preventative action.

Job Requirement:
  • At least 5 years of related working experience in SAP HR or other ERP implementation or support environment.
  • Strong knowledge in SAP Payroll
  • Keep abreast with SAP technology advancements and developments and able to understand and utilise new technology.
  • Able to apply structured problem-solving skills to quickly evaluate problems, identify root cause, action plans, impacts and resolution options.
  • Experience in support technologies e.g. calls logging software, knowledge base, etc. is desirable.
  • Recognized Diploma or Degree, majoring in the area of Human Resource, IT/Computer Science or any relevant discipline.
  • Knowledge of SAP R/3 Human Resource and Payroll modules implementation and support environment.
  • Possesses technical and analytical skills in systems customization and configurations, forms and reports development on SAP applications.
  • ABAP/4 development experience will be an added advantage.
