Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-user infrastructure support covering desktops, laptops, Blackberry and Ipads. This includes Installation, configuration and maintaining operating system software and third-party software utilities.
  • Manage IT projects:
            I. Determine application and infrastructure requirement for project.
            II. Develop implementation plan for project execution.
            III. Draft Operating procedures in relation to the project
  • Manage deployment of Window patches end-user devices via SCCM & key actions involve:
           I. Review patch requirement and perform analysis of patch compatibility to the environment.
           II. Perform pilot testing on patches to ensure system stability.
           III. Deployment of patch in adherence to standard pre-planned schedule
           IV. Manage critical patch deployment (as necessary)
  • Create and deploy scripts (using VBS) to user machines/servers as necessary. Manage Group Policy Creation in AD
  • Manage SCCM tool and perform Administrative activities.
  • Manage antivirus updates and drive encryption for end-users’ devices via McAfee. Perform administrative activities on McAfee ePO Server.
  • Provide Tier-2 support for Windows server environment encompassing Citrix, Server virtualization, h/w& s/w maintenance, storage capacity and backup monitoring.
  • Monitor & manage server alerts and perform health check. Including Netbackup system health checks
  • Ensure legacy application compatibility with new Windows technology.
  • Manage audit & compliance findings and perform remediation actions within stipulated timeframe.
  • Completion of daily, weekly and monthly management reports on timely basis
  • Responsible to ensure the tickets raised in Incident Management ticketing system are updated and completed in accordance with the stipulated SLA.
  • Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.
  • Proficient understanding of related technology areas such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, F5 Load balancing, and VMware.
  • Perform after-hours support rotation and be on standby as needed.
  • VIP support for end-user device issues
  • Supporting branch relocation activities by coordinating with third party vendors to ensure all end user devices are setup properly.

Job Requirements:
  • Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering  (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
  • Proven relevant  experience of at least 3 years in the IT industry.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment.
  • Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers.
  • Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.
  • Proven record of being reliable and accountable for all aspects of their job.
  • Proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex. technical issues in an easy to understand manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.
  • Resourceful, with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
