As a Senior Program Manager in the Technical Learning team, you will be handling exciting technical training and documentation programs on world-class technologies that enable Grab engineers to deliver a unique experience to millions of customers across South East Asia.
Get to know the Role:

  • Manage a variety of complex, cross-functional programs and lead all aspects of assigned programs delivery.

  • Manage project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders.

  • Drive synergy and identify new opportunities, leveraging internal capabilities and external engagement.

  • Drive and manage program strategy for technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and on-demand learning initiatives, and constantly find ways of improving processes in a data-driven manner.

  • Support in establishing a strong technical documentation culture transforming Grab engineering into an active knowledge sharing organization.

  • Evangelize or drive the improvement of the technical brand at Grab by driving blog creation (and publishing) both internally and externally.

  • Gather training related feedback from engineers and members of the data community.

  • Routinely research and present insights about the learning needs of engineers and data community members.

The day-to-day activities:

  • Identify strategic project priorities, core issues, and problem-solving.

  • Identify areas where members of the technical community need help through detailed research on their learning or knowledge needs.

  • Plan and strategize ways by which you can drive visibility for training programs making learning-on-the-job both fun and effective.

  • Manage cross-functional training programs, logistics, and operations, including building and maintaining specific curriculum when needed.

  • Handle multiple projects to enable scalable knowledge sharing and learning across Engineering.

  • Monitor, measure and communicate project progress, potential risks/delays and team performance to program teams, executives and other sponsors.

  • Build analysis & presentation to help leadership's decision making.

  • Work with cross functional teams, external stakeholders, vendors and partners for successful completion of projects.

The must haves:

  • 5+ years of overall experience in project management, change management, delivery, or related fields.

  • A project delivery or technical leadership background and strong organisational and interpersonal skills.

  • Independent self-starter whose background demonstrates that you can drive complex projects, have software engineering exposure, understand latest technical stacks for backend, mobile, data science.

  • Experience collaborating with engineers to drive content development.

  • High tolerance for ambiguity leaning toward action.

  • An understanding of Agile is desirable but not essential.

  • Effective communication skills to handle communications and reporting to management and cross-functional teams.

  • Experience working in a dynamic fast paced environment, where autonomy and self-decision making is needed (to an extent) and also able to juggle between different projects/tasks.

  • Understanding of basic SQL, JIRA Management or other related project management applications.
