Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE :
Maintain the Bank’s server infrastructure to ensure the IT infrastructure and services operate in accordance to the agreed service level agreements. Undertake initiatives in which application of IT/technology (server-related technology) will enhance business performance that enables the achievements of the Bank’s desired outcomes
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :
  • Implement server infrastructure strategies, framework & standards to align with the business. Create automated procedures to streamline maintenance and support
  • Identify server infrastructure capabilities and implement proven technologies and adaptive infrastructure to enable business outcomes
  • Ensure resiliency of server infrastructure and its related system solutions for business continuity, high availability and sustained performance of the Bank’s primary functions
  • Provides advisory roles in designing, building, implementing, documenting and supporting servers to ensure the delivery of emerging ICT system solutions that best meet the business demand and priorities
  • Undertake research and feasibility study on server infrastructure and its related system solutions to ensure its reliability, agility and resiliency for faster business innovation
  • Continuously enhance knowledge and professional services in server infrastructure and its related system solutions in order to deliver advisory services to the internal stakeholders
  • Manage the lifecycle of server infrastructure and its related system solutions technology refresh with minimised impact to business operations and in compliance with the Technology Architecture design, standards and principles
QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE
  • Academic Qualifications: A degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Experience: Knowledge in server administration and support. 3 or more years working experience in for platforms such as Windows, or IBM AIX, or HP-UNIX & Linux Red Hat servers in an enterprise environment would be an advantage

  • Ability to administer and maintain server availability and continuity to support business process efficiency, continuity and information accessibility and visibility.

  • To assure server infrastructure is reliable, agile and resilient to meet the business demand and priorities in secured environment.
  • To keep abreast with up-to-date technology advances and to enhance necessary skills for effective and efficient service delivery.
  • To manage and meet stringent service level agreements for mission-critical business services or applications.
  • To standby after office hours or during weekend [whenever required] for server and the related solutions services to minimise disruption to business operations
