Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Assist the client in IT matters through phone, emails or web chats
  • Provide 1st level support and troubleshooting
  • Monitor system availability and performance and to take appropriate action on alerts received
  • Log issues in service desk database and escalate to appropriate 2nd level support and 3rd party support vendors.
  • Ability to translate incident in the Japanese language to the English language whenever required
  • Manage incidents, to ensure speedy resolution, and whenever necessary conferencing with various Japan resolver group and stakeholders.
  • Ensure continuous improvement on job function
  • Maintain and update the service desk database, including Japanese translation to English where applicable.
  • Ability to provide basic Japanese language training to team members
  • Provide and ensure accurate weekly/monthly reporting
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned

Job Requirements:
  • Candidate MUST be able to read and write in JAPANESE language
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information
  • Technology or equivalent
  • Working knowledge in Win7 Operating Systems, Mcafee, PC hardware
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manners
  • Experience in First Level support Wintel desktop MS Office and Outlook
  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries in a professional manner.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workloads.
  • Attendance adherence is essential for this role.
