The Role Responsibilities

The role provides core management support to the Global Head, Cyber Defence and Threat Management (CDTM), with a focus on Strategy, Planning and Special Project delivery.
  • Mission and Vision: Capturing the Mission and Vision for the function and ensuring this is aligned to Trust, Data and Resilience, Technology Services, ITO, Corporate Strategy and Industry strategic themes.
  • Priorities and Objective: Managing CDTM annual priorities and objectives.
  • Strategy:Development of the CDTM strategy to define, plan and coordinate the delivery of the functions long term objectives.This strategy sets out the general direction and principles for the function by providing a desired future state and the high-level steps to get there.
  • Organisation and Operating Model: Responsible for the definition, documentation and continuous improvement of the functions operating model to ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and the functionally is optimally structured and organised.
  • Executive Reporting and Engagement Support the Global Head of CDTM in developing high quality materials to enable clear and transparent reporting of risks, progress and strategic trends to senior stakeholders across the bank.

  • Book of Work/Backlog Management: Coordinate and manage the central backlog and prioritisation process to track and manage the core deliverables across the function. Deliver the framework and oversight to ensure effective agile planning, prioritisation and delivery.
  • Demand Management:Annual planning for new investment and project across CDTM. Engagement with core stakeholders to ensure requirements and dependencies are identified, socialised and agreed.
  • Business Management support for the Head of CDTM, responsible for coordinating core management activities and processes required for the effective day to day organisation of the management team.
  • Communications and Engagement: across the CDTM team to ensure the team are informed, updated and engaged on a consistent and regular basis (Examples include all staff calls, communications, function wide training and development).

Special Projects:
  • Project Manage: and coordinate special projects to deliver change and high priority initiatives across CDTM.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement within the function by managing and tracking initiatives that champion improved efficiency and new way of working
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science/Information or Business Administration or Management.
  • Experience in Cyber & Information Security in Banking and Financial services preferably combined with experience in top tier consulting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of business management, resource planning, process management and optimisation and performance measurement.
  • Strong communication skills - oral, written and presentation. Sound knowledge of MS-Excel, PPT, and Word.
  • One or more of the following certifications will be preferred:
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • SANS Global Information Assurance Certifications (GIAC)
  • Certified in Risk & Information Systems Control (CRISC)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Proven track record of working as a facilitator between Technology and Business
  • Knowledge of cyber security frameworks, information security principles, architecture.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, across various levels in the organization including senior leadership teams, in influencing key decisions taken in the business and in support teams.
  • Customer focus
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to gather competitive intel, prioritise, summarise, make decisions, and work to tight timeframes and changing environment.
  • Ability to solve complex problems with high number of stakeholders and conflicting interests.
  • Strong business acumen and deep knowledge and experience in the ICS field.
Ability to both assess strategic priorities and to focus on detailed aspects of a function in order to drive effective delivery. Strong integrity, independence and resilience.
