Responsible for supervising and overseeing the production planning and warehousing functions.
Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and process that support order management, master planning and logistics.Job Description
Production Planning
  • Develop and execute a master planning strategy to meet the company's business growth, while optimizing inventory levels and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Initiate planning process improvements to consistently meet customer requirements by providing good visibility on capacity requirements
  • Coordinate and work with quality, engineering and operations to ensure on-time delivery by establishing and monitoring schedules to proactively identify and address any issues
  • Establish and implement inventory control initiatives to continuously improve inventory turns up, while ensuring no interruption to service.
  • Initiate programs to minimize inventory exposure resulting from excess and obsolescence. Ensure material or component specification changes are planned appropriately, to avoid scrapping of obsolete material
  • Maintain appropriate inventory safety stock and re-order levels, where necessary to avoid any material stock out situations
  • Champion supply chain process improvement projects
  • Develop training manuals tailored to Supply Chain needs

Warehouse & Logistics
  • Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and implementing the necessary disciplines in conjuction with operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing strong asset controls, and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Improve end to end supply chain from component receipt to shipment, by improving material flow, and reducing handling and storage space
  • Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts and maintaining good housekeeping standards
  • Manage freight and logistics spend, and drive savings year on year
  • Implement stock controls through perpetual stock count programs
  • Implement lean initiatives and efficiency improvement programs
  • Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget scheduling expenditures analyzing variances initiating corrective actions.

  • Develop a succession plan for the team. Train and develop direct reports and motivating them to continuously improve performance.
  • Responsible for collaborating with cross functional teams to meet organization goals, namely, delivery performance, inventory turns, planned absorption and cost improvement programs.
  • Assist in production risk assessment and mitigation activities
  • Play a key functional role on new product development or transfers
  • Continuous improvement-carry out process mapping analysis to simplify processes and error
    proof steps
  • Establish and develop collaborative teamwork across functions
