Job Description

The Enterprise Data Office (EDO) is committed to enabling business outcomes with consistent enterprise standards with master data management, data quality metrics, metadata management and visualization. Tableau for self-service visualization and analytics initiatives is to implement Tableau in support of the EDO vision and requires strong technical, business and analytical skills in tableau report design, development, testing, administration, monitoring and dashboarding. This will require close collaboration with Enterprise & Business stewards and SMEs, Data Analyst, Business System Analyst to assist, define, develop and ensure report development and visualization are adherence with establish data management principles and architecture.

  • Design, develop and test Tableau dashboards and data visualizations.
  • Develops or modifies data models, ETL processes, and reporting solutions.
  • Leverage established guidelines and custom designs to create formulas and calculations to meet the needs of the business
  • Standardize reporting that helps generate efficiencies, optimization and end user standards.
  • Integrate dashboards and reports from a variety of sources, assuring that they adhere to data quality, usability and business rule standards.
  • Work closely with analysts and data engineers to identify opportunities and assess improvements of reporting/visualization delivery and support.
  • Drive workshops or training sessions with the business user community to further enhance their knowledge on Tableau Reporting and Visualization.
  • Collaborate with various data providers to resolve dashboard, reporting and data related issues.
  • Ensures integrity and security of data assets
  • Ensures appropriate documentation for all development and modification activities
  • Responsible for adherence to SDLC policies and standards for report development and technical management of Tableau Servers and Admin console.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems & Mathematics or a related discipline;
  • 5+ years experience in Business Intelligence software development and maintenance with at least 3 years of Tableau experience.
  • 2-3 years of relevant Tableau Server administration experience in an enterprise environment
  • Expert knowledge of Tableau development, practices, techniques, and standards.
  • Familiarity with application-specific processes related to data management, SQL, SAAS, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), problem-solving abilities, and Strength in understanding and analyzing requirements to deliver solutions within the Tableau platform.
  • Experience with installation, configuration and support of Tableau Server and associated Tableau products.
  • Technical Capabilities experience and expertise: Tableau/BI tool (Expert), Data Mart (Intermediate), Data warehouse (Intermediate) and ETL/ELT tools & processes(intermediate)
  • Experience working in more than one Tableau/Self Service BI End to End Implementation project
  • Experience with software development lifecycle tools (Bitbucket, JIRA etc.) Experience with Agile framework and DevOps
  • Excellent documentation and interpersonal relationship skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication including the ability to communicate to various levels of audience or to explain complex or technical matters in a manner suitable for non-technical audiences
  • Fluent in English
  • Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Tableau Certifications
  • Experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) & Collibra
  • Knowledge of data modeling
  • Experience in the Medical Device industry
  • Knowledge of big data technologies like AWS data lake, Athena, Redshift, Snowflake
