Why does this job exist and why is it critical​
1. Support the Head of Network Strategy and CTSO in delivery of a powerful and continuous program of idea-generation, evaluation and change-delivery.This includes classic Program Management Office functions, applied to the very diverse range of activities within or led by the CTSO team.The role should focus on outcomes rather than process, but bring process innovations and clarifications which enhance the delivery of outcomes.
2. For a small number of larger projects being delivered or led by the CTSO team, take on the Project Manager role for these projects, working side-by-side with a Technology leader for the project to ensure timely delivery of a successful outcome. (Smaller projects will be managed by the Technology leader themselves.)
3.As a member of a high performance cross-functional team :
  • Be the Team Champion for values and behaviours relating to Results Orientation, Methodical Approach and Success On Time.
  • Drive and follow up activities to completion by leading and teaming with the Head of Network Strategy to managing scope, ensure timeline adherence, managing change control, identify and escalate issues & risks and support with resources planning and reporting.
  • Teaming with technology experts to deliver project outcomes, varying from completed evaluations (ie. recommended decisions with supporting analysis) to change in work practices or delivery of new technologies in the network.
  • Convene and run the Steering Committee or similar governance process for larger projects.
  • Manage and execute programme stream communication to internal project and external organization stakeholders.
  • Pro-actively identify, manage and follow up with relevant stakeholders on the programme/stream risks, issues and action items.
  • Manage work stream dependencies, including external dependencies.
  • Where projects are 'handing over' a deliverable to other teams, be the advocate within the project for this 'customer'.
  • Understand delivery and project management processes across Maxis and support the CTSO team to engage effectively with these formalised processes.
  • Identify more efficient and effective ways for the team to work.

The role will work closely with the more technology-centric Technology Development team, Forecasting / financial modelling specialists, and the Advanced Analytics / AI specialists in the AI Centre of Excellence (within IT).
