Manage & lead :
Secured Collections (Prevention & Litigation) - ensure the team to control delinquencies and minimise flow through of Secured accounts into subsequent delinquent bucket, minimise NPL/ NPF, specific provision and litigation/ foreclosure is timely acted for Secured Portfolio.
Auction & Valuation - ensure the team to fix auction and all the valuation reports revert within the bank stipulated turnaround time and to manage Real Estate Agent (REA), Auctioneer and Valuer performance to ensure prompt and satisfactory service standards being rendered.

  • Lead the team to achieve the target indicators set in term of delinquencies flow through, NPL /NPF and specific provisions for Secured product.Responsible for effective portfolio management of Secured portfolio and EMB Secured accounts in the 60 and 89 days to delinquent buckets.
  • Lead and manage performance of service provider REA & Auctioneer performance in marketing Bank auction properties
  • Monitor and reviews collector's productivity and effectiveness
  • Manage auction proceeds to meet team's monthly SP and write back target set.
  • Manage and to achieve the target indicator set in term of delinquencies and recoveries.
  • Contribute to meet department financial KPI and department cost.

  • Ensure strict adherence to all credit policies, procedures, BNM guidelines, compliance, information security, etc.
  • Completion of CSA & RRSA within stipulated time frame

  • Review Collections statistics and implement strategies to prevent flow through of accounts, control delinquencies, minimise specific provisions and disposing/ auction within foreclosure timeline.
  • Review Debt Manager Collections System work queue daily and approve Collectors proposals submission timely.
  • Review and approve on fixing reserve price on subsequent auction matters.
  • Check & validate accounts submitted by REA for commission claim and review their performance on monthly basis
  • Review and ensure all legal and foreclosure proceedings is timely acted.
  • Handle and manage customer objections or issue escalated
  • Monitor Collectors performance closely and coach and guide weaker collectors to achieve KPIs sets.
  • Manage staff resources and ensure smooth operations of the team daily.
  • Provide collectors support to new initiatives launched by business units.

  • Plan for continuity and succession of jobs by recognising and developing staff potentials
  • Implementing new initiatives to constantly improve Employee Satisfaction maintain high morale of staff and retain performers in the team
  • Take on ad hoc projects and/or special tasks assigned by HOD
  • Backup other Unit Head during their absences.

Skill Sets / Experiences:
  • Able to lead and inspire team to achieve delinquency and productivity targets
  • Hands-on experiences in Collections and Recovery process
  • Basic knowledge and practical experience on litigation process and understand of regulatory requirement
  • Practical knowledge and experience on secured products and collections system
  • Good negotiations skill
  • Good communication and inter-personal skill
  • Minimum 5 years of banking working experience.
  • Proficient in English and good writing skills
  • Pleasant disposition with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive attitude together with initiative and able to work independently
  • Able to motivate team towards achieving goals
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Words, Excel and Power Point
