The Role Responsibilities
Strategy

  • Participate in discussions on budget and investment decision making.

  • Improve efficiency and effectiveness by introducing measures to further automate processes in all units as required by the business.

  • Ensure cost to serve for every process is kept Optimal for the top markets

  • Embed Acceleration Zero agenda ensuring paperless agenda thereby reducing carbon


Business

  • Be the product SME for Secured and Unsecured Lending across CPBB.

  • Face off to the product team in engaging and driving effective launch of products by standardization, simplification, digitization and automation.

  • Work with countries by identifying and sharing the best practises implemented by other markets

  • Ensure zero touch process by driving end to end automation there by contributing to scalability, optimization of resources and aligning to growth of business

  • To support Digital First, Partnership driven customer journeys with a vision to study impact on Servicing & Transacting and a completely automated design creation.


Processes

  • Ensure the markets adhere to the global standards and policies

  • Embed the global standards into the country relevant documents and thereby ensuring adherence of the same across

  • Ensure roll out of global process standards, Global Processing Instruction for the markets to adhere


Risk Management

  • Ensures a no surprises culture &ndash no failed audits across Markets

  • Manages the maintenance of operational integrity throughout the unit

  • Understands market practices, awareness of local regulations, group and business policies, business

  • standard procedures and best practices

  • Establishes a performance culture around Risk Management using root cause analysis and corrective action planning as key elements of operational risk management

  • Proactively identifies, assesses and mitigates risk issues


Governance

  • Uses internal/ external audit findings to further improve service excellence

  • Inculcate speak up culture in teams


Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group&rsquos Values and Code of Conduct.

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor&rsquos Degree with 15+ years of experience in Banking and Financial Services in more than one core Finance functions Ledger, Consolidation, Financial and Management Reporting.

  • Strong background in problem solving, with demonstrable analytical skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills including team collaboration, presentation and organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication/articulation skills

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional and multi-location teams to ensure that work delivered meets client requirements and standards both functionally and technically

  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, understand and be responsive to customer needs

  • Ability to perform assigned tasks independently and complete deliverables on-time ensuring quality

  • Highly self-motivated and self-driven to learning.
