Job Description

CIMB is looking for a Product Owner that will create the product vision andconvey that vision to the scrum team. Responsible for the product success - for creating a product that meets the team goals. Defines and prioritizes efforts of the Digital team. Collaborates with internal stakeholders, the development team and Scrum Master to develop, design, build and launch the product.

  • Develop feature lists, user stories & roadmaps

  • Manage entire product line lifecycle from strategic planning through release

  • Manage & lead the target end state definition and drive solution build

  • Leads product to overall success

  • Observes, learns about, contacts and analyzes end users of the product

  • Gathers user requirements and translate them into user stories

  • Works with multiple teams to understand the requirements and constraints for building the product

  • Writes new user stories

  • Creates, maintains and prioritizes the product backlog

  • Specifies acceptance criteria for each user story

  • Writes acceptance tests

  • Clearly communicates the requirements to the team

  • Gives feedback to the development team

  • Facilitates release planning with stakeholders

  • Participates in sprint meetings

  • Builds and maintains a relationship with the stakeholders

  • Tracks and measures product progress

  • Coaches development and design teams with detailed guidance during the product development

  • Integrates usability studies and research into product requirements to enhance user satisfactio

  • Structured to be able to design roadmap

  • Ability to maintain strong leadership qualities & ensuring team tracks against key milestones

  • Ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround & quality output

  • Analytical, ability to think strategically & creatively

  • Ability to think conceptually & translate this into practical ways to work with

  • Knowledgeable in technology trends & agile product development
Minimum of 7 years of product management experience, other related project work experience, or demonstration of high level of understanding of banking
Minimum of 4 years of experience gathering requirements and translating into user requirements, data engineering, data science, or software engineering experience
Background in engineering, technology, or UX preferred
Experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager with software products
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle
Experience in Agile methodologies
Strong negotiation and leadership skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort in speaking with senior leaders
Must be a strong collaborator, team player, and individual contributor
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically
Brings a high-energy and passionate outlook to the job and can influence those around them
Able to build a sense of trust and rapport that creates a comfortable & effective workplace
Passion for innovation and 'can do' attitude
